Irene Herranz Vázquez works as a psychologist specializing in family intervention and crisis and trauma situations. Her experience includes the development of prevention, assessment, and intervention actions in the socio-educational field, developed in the Family Meeting Point of Granada, whose work ended in 2019.

In addition to her training in the clinical field, throughout her academic and professional training, she has shown a great interest in the socio-educational area, which has led her to collaborate with NGOs in the development of different programs aimed at young people at risk of exclusion (school support classes, development, and implementation of training plans and job orientation, management, and coordination of psycho-pedagogical care and the establishment of relationships between their families and the educational environment).

All this together along with her experience as a teacher, at the beginning of her professional career, at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Monterrey (Mexico) and the participation in the research attached to the European project CUPESSE - Cultural Pathways to economic self-sufficiency and Entrepreneurship: Family Values and Youth Unemployment in Europe in the academic year 2017-2018, has been bringing her closer to the educational field, finally specializing in the area of Educational Guidance.
